Ability Intelligent’s Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR/ALPR) system combines computer vision and AI algorithms to accurately capture and recognize license plates under various lighting, weather, and vehicle speed conditions. Using dedicated cameras, infrared illumination, and high-resolution lenses together with deep learning models for image preprocessing and character segmentation, the system rapidly converts license plate images into structured data. Our system supports multiple international license plate formats and offers features such as simultaneous detection of front and rear plates, vehicle type, and colour classification, speed monitoring, lane tracking, and recognition time stamping.

Core computations are performed in real time at the edge, effectively reducing server load and bandwidth requirements while ensuring high performance and low latency. In addition, the system includes a built-in whitelist/blacklist matching mechanism, integrates event-triggered responses and real-time data transmission, and connects to a centralized platform for unified management, improving both operational efficiency and security levels.
